About the Survey

The Black Executive Journal is conducting its Global Executive Sentiment Survey, a research initiative designed to gather perspectives from founders, executives, investors, and business leaders across the African diaspora.

The purpose of this initiative is to better understand the current outlook, challenges, and opportunities shaping Black business leadership globally.

Insights from this research will contribute to the Black Executive Outlook Report 2026, an annual publication examining trends in executive sentiment, capital access, hiring expectations, and emerging sectors of opportunity.

Participation

Participation in the Global Executive Sentiment Survey is by invitation.

Invitations are extended to founders, executives, investors, and business owners identified through professional networks, industry communities, and leadership networks across the United States, Africa, Europe, the Caribbean, and other regions of the global diaspora.

This approach helps ensure that responses reflect the perspectives of individuals actively operating in executive or ownership roles.

Research Focus

The survey explores several areas relevant to business leadership, including:

  • executive outlook for the coming year
  • access to capital and financing
  • hiring and organizational growth
  • emerging industries and markets
  • cross-border business opportunities within the diaspora

Responses are aggregated and analyzed to identify broader economic and strategic trends affecting Black executives globally.

Individual responses are not published.

Methodology

The Global Executive Sentiment Survey gathers insights from founders, executives, investors, and business owners who participate through invitation-based outreach.

Participants are identified through professional networks, leadership organizations, and executive communities across multiple regions of the African diaspora.

Survey responses are collected confidentially and analyzed in aggregate. Individual responses and identifying information are not disclosed in published findings.

Publication of Findings

Results from this research initiative will be compiled into the Black Executive Outlook Report 2026, which will present aggregated insights from contributing executives across the global Black business community.

The report will be published by the Black Executive Journal later this year.
