Overview

The Black Executive Outlook Report is a recurring research publication from the Black Executive Journal examining the perspectives, priorities, and outlook of founders, executives, investors, and business leaders across the global African diaspora.

The report compiles insights gathered through the Global Executive Sentiment Survey, a leadership research initiative designed to capture the strategic views of individuals actively operating businesses, managing capital, and leading organizations.

Each edition analyzes aggregated responses from qualified participants across multiple regions, providing a data-driven snapshot of how Black executives are navigating economic conditions, capital markets, hiring decisions, and emerging opportunities around the world.

The goal of the report is simple:
to document and track the evolving outlook of Black business leadership globally.

What the Report Examines

Each edition of the Black Executive Outlook Report explores several areas shaping executive decision-making, including:

  • executive outlook for the coming year
  • access to capital and investment trends
  • hiring expectations and workforce expansion
  • emerging industries and sectors of opportunity
  • geographic growth and cross-border business activity
  • macroeconomic risks affecting Black-owned and Black-led enterprises

Responses are aggregated and analyzed to identify broader trends affecting founders, operators, and investors across the diaspora.

Individual responses are never published.

Global Scope

  • United States
  • Africa
  • United Kingdom and Europe
  • Caribbean

By capturing leadership sentiment across regions, the report provides a broader view of how Black business leadership is responding to global economic conditions and emerging opportunities.

Research Methodology

Insights published in the Black Executive Outlook Report are derived from the Global Executive Sentiment Survey, an invitation-based research initiative conducted by the Black Executive Journal.

  • founders and entrepreneurs
  • chief executives and managing directors
  • C-suite executives
  • senior business operators

Participants confirm their professional role before accessing the survey to maintain the integrity of the dataset.
