FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
PHOENIX, Ariz., August 1, 2026 — The Black Executive Journal announced the launch of its Executive Contributor Network, a strategic expansion of the publication's editorial operations designed to build a global network of experienced journalists and industry experts reporting on the people, companies, institutions, and economic forces shaping the Black economy.
The initiative marks the next phase in the publication's long-term editorial strategy to deliver deeper, regionally informed coverage of business, finance, investing, entrepreneurship, technology, infrastructure, public policy, and international markets through contributors who live and work in the economies they cover.
As Black-owned businesses continue to expand internationally, investment flows become increasingly cross-border, and African and diaspora economies play a larger role in global commerce, demand has grown for business journalism that provides accurate, contextual reporting beyond a single national perspective.
The Black Executive Journal is responding by building an editorial network that reflects the geographic diversity of the markets it serves.
Rather than relying primarily on centralized reporting, the Executive Contributor Network will recruit accomplished journalists and subject-matter experts from Africa, Europe, the Caribbean, Latin America, Asia, the Middle East, North America, and Oceania, providing readers with firsthand insight into regional markets, emerging industries, investment opportunities, public policy, and executive leadership.
"Business has become global, and the coverage of the Black economy must evolve with it," said Noah Carmichael, Founder and Editor-in-Chief of The Black Executive Journal. "The most insightful reporting comes from people who understand the markets they cover because they live there, work there, and participate in those economies every day. Our goal is to build an editorial network that reflects the full breadth of the global Black business community."
Unlike traditional contributor programs that compensate writers on a one-time assignment basis, eligible members of the Executive Contributor Network may participate in a recurring revenue-sharing model tied to membership subscriptions generated through their published work.
The approach aligns contributor success with long-term reader engagement while encouraging sustained, high-quality journalism.
"The strongest publications invest in long-term relationships with exceptional contributors," Carmichael added. "We want accomplished professionals who view themselves not as freelancers completing isolated assignments, but as partners helping build a publication that documents one of the most important economic stories of our time."
The Executive Contributor Network is seeking experienced business journalists, financial reporters, editors, corporate executives, founders, investors, economists, attorneys, researchers, policy specialists, and other recognized subject-matter experts capable of producing original reporting and informed analysis.
Editorial coverage will include:
- Corporate leadership and governance
- Entrepreneurship and innovation
- Banking and financial services
- Private equity, venture capital, and private credit
- Commercial real estate and infrastructure
- Capital markets and institutional investing
- Artificial intelligence and emerging technologies
- Healthcare and life sciences
- Energy, manufacturing, and industrial development
- International trade and cross-border investment
- Public policy and economic development
- Workforce, leadership, and executive strategy
Accepted contributors will work closely with The Black Executive Journal's editorial team and receive professional attribution, dedicated author profile pages, editorial support, and opportunities to contribute to recurring columns, investigative features, executive interviews, and special editorial projects.
Contributors whose work consistently demonstrates excellence may assume expanded editorial responsibilities as the network grows.
To preserve editorial quality and maintain rigorous publishing standards, participation in the Executive Contributor Network will initially be offered through a selective invitation-and-application process.
Candidates will be evaluated based on professional experience, subject-matter expertise, writing ability, and alignment with the publication's editorial standards.
Applications are now being accepted from qualified professionals interested in contributing to one of the fastest-growing areas of business journalism: comprehensive coverage of the global Black economy.
